Lloyd & Margaret's group meet on Tuesday evenings for Bible study, prayer and fellowship. Socialising is also really key to the group, and every two months they seek to reach out to their local community by taking part in a local mission initiative.
Our group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday’s of the month and includes people from a wide range of ages and backgrounds. We all take part in leading different sections over the term and, of course, bringing cake! We enjoy getting our teeth into passages of Scripture and trying to apply it to our current situations.
We are a mixed group of both young and mature believers mainly of “a certain age!” We meet fortnightly at various homes across the parish to study the Bible, pray together and encourage and support one another. Our aim is to grow in our faith, to become strong disciples and effective witnesses, to be salt and light in our community.
I lead a Friday morning Bible Study Group. Our main purpose is to study the Bible in depth so that we get to know God’s word and can go out and live it. We pray for each other and the wider world by sharing our needs and emailing a prayer list to everyone. The support we give each other is tremendous.
Birch Tree Small Group meets alternate Tuesdays. We are a friendly mix of ages and Christian experience, with a range of singles and marrieds (some with non-Christian partners). We start with coffee at 7.45pm and finish by 10pm, following our study and prayer for everyone. As we’ve developed, we have benefitted from new members and everyone is invited to get involved.
