Serve on a Team

One of the ways we choose to worship God is to serve Him with our time. We do that with the whole of our lives, but also here at church, so we’re really pleased that you’re interested in joining one of our teams! Some of the teams you can join are listed here below, along with the people you’ll need to speak with to find out more about joining that team.

Sunday Teams

We’ve got lots going on for children and young people at Aldridge Parish Church, including five Sunday morning groups for them to attend whilst the morning service is taking place. Because of the number of children we get on a Sunday morning, we need loads of people to serve on these teams! Get in touch to find out more!

Andrew & Liz Sledge

We all love a cuppa and a biscuit at the end of the service! Contact Gill Car to find out more about joining the Refreshments team, for either our morning or evening service.

We’re striving to be a welcoming church, so that everyone who walks through our doors not only gets a friendly welcome, but can quickly and easily become part of the family. If you’re interested in joining the team, we’d love to hear from you!

Are you tech-savvy and fancy learning about our projection software and/or sound desk? We use both every Sunday morning and evening, so contact Mark to find out more about joining the team!

Prayer ministry is incredibly important to us at Aldridge Parish Church. We believe God uses prayer to transform and heal lives, so if you’re a follower of Jesus and are passionate about coming alongside people in prayer, contact Helen Gilbert to find our more about joining our prayer ministry team.

As followers of Jesus, we’re learning to worship Him with the whole of our lives, but we also believe it’s important to gather together weekly as a church family to worship Him as well. One of the main ways we express our worship when we gather together is through song. If you’re passionate about worship and can sing or play an instrument, find out more about joining the worship team.

Midweek Children and Youth Teams

Do you have a passion about working with children in school years 5 and 6? If so, we’d love to hear from you! Cre8 is a fun, fortnightly, Thursday evening ministry that reaches out to children with the love of God through games, activities and teaching. Contact us to find out more.

Ruth Bryant

Dynamic seeks to reach out to young people in school years 7 and 8 through worship, games and Bible teaching, and meets weekly on a Thursday evening. We’re looking for people to come alongside these young people to model what it means to be a follower of Jesus, as we serve them week by week. Chat to Adam if you’re interested in joining the team.

Aldridge Youth Fellowship has existed for over 60 years and has a long history of helping young people between the ages of 14 to 18 experience the grace of God for themselves, as they begin to follow Him with their lives. We meet each Friday evening for activities, worship and Bible teaching, and each Sunday evening (after our evening service), for one of our discipleship groups, the After Café. If you have a desire to serve Jesus through serving young people, we’d love to hear from you!

As a parish, we love the links we have with local schools. One of the ways we serve our local schools is to act out Bible stories to children in assemblies through Open the Book – for many children, it’s the first time they encounter God’s Word. If you consider yourself a budding actor and have a heart to reach children with the Gospel, chat to Sue to find out more!

Noah’s Ark is our church’s parent and toddler group. We’re open every Thursday from 9.30-11.30 and our mornings include toys and activities for pre-school children. We start with coffee and toast and have time for singing and a craft activity for children to join in with. To find out more about getting involved in Noah’s Ark, chat to Annette.
